Introduction
I introduce the history of Japanese art after the war in six groups of five.
First of all, there are many wonderful artists in Japan. This time it may be full of dogmatic and prejudice by individual artists. I would like to give people inside and outside Japan a systematic explanation of Japanese contemporary art history in an easy-to-understand manner, so that I can convey the background of the cultural society that Japanese artist have followed since after the war.

Overall Summary
In particular, the artist introductions in the parts 5 and 6 that I personally became friends with. Some have forcibly selected five members in personal. There may be unnatural points, such as a person who is different from the original member joining the group members.
The point to summarize was to select artists who continued to create works with solid and originality.
This is because the contemporary art scene in Japan is thriving on conceptual discourses, relational arts, social justice and anti-socialism, and there is not much respect for art that confronts works in the atelier.
GUTAI : Specific method
Akira Kanayama,

Akira Kanayama, who has been active mainly in the Kansai area, has been presenting at Gallery Ham, and with his wife, Atsuko Tanaka, worked out the concrete expressions to the end and continued painting.
Kazuo Shiraga,

It is the centerperson of the GUTAI art boom growing in the world. An artist who embodies the informal movement proposed by Michel Tapie in Japan. Its unique method of drawing with its foot has made its worldwide reputation unwavering.
Atsuko Tanaka

No one in Gutai art makes a work as iconic as this artist. He performed his latest performance at the time, wearing his own clothes with fluorescent lights and light bulbs. The performance is wonderful, and the sublimeness of art as an abstract and elusive painting by circles and lines.
Sadamasa Motonaga,

Many children know the name in picture books for children, and his drawings are simple and have a good sense of color. Although he was an artist, he sought ways to connect with society and people in various ways. From watercolors to oil paintings or ceramic objects placed outdoors, there is a unique worldview that captures art with humor.
Jiro Yoshihara

He would not have been able to spread the name of Gutai to the world without him. In addition to his critic of art, he draws his own work and draws a circle with a single stroke that can be said to be a GUTAI trademark. The circle of Japan, the spirit of Zen, is from the most legitimate Western painting Is an artist who has realized the concept behind the work.
Part 1 Summary
Despite the introduction of French critic and art collector Michel Tapie, it is undeniable that Jiro Yoshihara communicated the group’s appeal in English to art person in abroad. Gutai Pinakoteca was held in conjunction with the Osaka Expo. And above all, I would like to say the greatest respect to these five artists who have been working their lives for a lifetime.
